Date: 10:00-16:00, Wednesday 18 September, 2013
Venue: Hochhauser Auditorium, Sackler Centre, V&A, Cromwell Road, London SW7 2RL

As part of the London Design Festival at the V&A programme, Nico Macdonald is running ‘Making It in London’, a one day special event which will be discussing and showcasing design, manufacturing and the economy.

“With expert thinkers, doers and entrepreneurs we will examine the potential for design, making and manufacturing with new materials, new technologies and processes, and connected products and services. We will also investigate how we can help design and manufacturing work better together – and the new opportunities for being a design-led manufacturer. We will debate the future of manufacturing in London, asking whether it could be the ‘design workshop of the world’. The event will also have a strong envisioning element, using design to help participants imagine future scenarios.”
